After four incredibly successful seasons showing during LC:M, Joseph Turvey returned to The Radisson Hotel, situated in the heart of Bloomsbury to present his SS15 collection TANK.
Renowned for his sportswear inspired silhouettes and experimental textiles, Joseph has continued his experimentation of different fabrications and techniques to push the boundaries of Luxury Streetwear; iridescent organza’s compliment printed silk twills and brushed cottons to create textural depth for a unique quality.
Inspired by the iconic Japanese imagery of the Koi Karp, in particular those used in Yakuza body art; Joseph has used hand drawn techniques to incorporate delicate butterfly koi into his signature illustrations gently brought to life with splashes of bright watercolor. The concept that the boy and the fish become one through the combination of body and spirit informed the collection throughout. Hand sewn sequins enhance prints with color and reflection and beautiful embroidered tulle created with French lace mill Sophie Hallette replicates opaline fish scales.
Joseph also worked closely with footwear brand Anthony Miles to create a bespoke collection comprising of bold coloured canvas uppers and translucent soles.
