Jonathan Daniel Pryce headed to the Percival store on Soho’s Berwick Street last week and choose some of his favourite items from their SS14 Collection and showed us some of his personal items that he never leaves the house without!
Tell us quickly about you? I’m a fashion photographer specialising in menswear. I have an obsession with beards (100beards.tumblr.com), British manufacturing (ManMen.uk) and classic street style (GarconJon.com).
Explain the picks you’ve made? I love Percival’s diffusion between rugged & tailored. I chose this jacket which could be work with a suit or jeans and a tee. The mixture of colour is important to me as I like to feel comfortable & be practical yet clean. As a photographer I can’t resist putting things together that will photograph well and I think the whole Percival collection sits perfectly together. The slingshot was one not to be missed.
What activity would you engage whilst dressed in this look?I’d probably go out and shoot some street style around London Town. It’s perfect for city living and the varied weather we get in the UK. It also look respectable while still being relatable. What I wear is a key factor when shooting street style as subjects make their decision whether to stop or not in seconds. I need to look cool yet not intimidating.
What do you associate with the brand Percival? Percival for me is modern Britishness. It’s the mixture of urban & rural. Being content with your own style. Being able to mix and match an outfit to suit individuality and keeping an eye on the details like fabric and finish.
